The correct use of Botox or Azzalure can improve the height and shape of eyebrows what Botox/Azzalure cannot do is alter or improve the density of the eyebrow hair. This article has been written to explain how to prevent brow hair thinning and the treatment options available to solve the eyebrow hair thinning problem.
Why do eyebrows become thin/sparse?
The main reason is over plucking and/or over threading. The fact is that when you remove a hair follicle (which is done when you pluck or thread your eyebrows) eventually that hair follicle will not regrow. So, what seems to solve an eyebrow hair problem when you are younger becomes a much more serious problem as you age and your eyebrow hair becomes so sparse that it makes you look older than you are.

So, my advice is: your eyebrow hair follicles are very important, do not destroy them. If you have eyebrow hair that is excessive between your eyebrows (a unibrow) or above or below the body of your brow then pluck away, as in the long term you want these hairs to stop growing. But best advice is not to damage the hair follicles in the body of your eyebrow. In the body of your eyebrow hair just trim the hairs, do not remove the hair follicles by plucking or threading.
There are other reasons why eyebrow hair can become thin or sparse and for the sake of completion there is a list below. However, the main reason is either overplucking or over threading.
What are your options if your brows are thin or sparse?
Treatments that you can do yourself
Powder or pencil
Professional Treatment – Microblading
Microblading, has become very popular recently with companies making millions promoting microblading treatments.
Microblading when done correctly can improve shape, colour, and appearance of your eyebrows. Microblading or semi-permanent make up as it is also known consists of tattooing the skin of your eyebrows. What microblading does not do is promote the growth of new hair. Microblading gives the illusion of more eyebrow hair. In the long term you will lose your eyebrow hair and end up with tattoos rather than natural hair. In the trade these are known as “slugs” and look very unnatural.
Eyebrow hair transplants – The game changer
If you have reached a stage where you have very little eyebrow hair, or your eyebrows now look unnatural because of microblading. The big question is what can you do?
There are now experts with many years of experience of transplanting hair into the brow area returning you to the natural eyebrow look that you once had.
